DAY 01: HARIDWAR – BARKOT
Upon your arrival in Haridwar, start your Char Dham journey immediately and proceed towards Barkot,check into your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring the natural beauty of the region. Overnight stay in Barkot.

DAY 02: BARKOT – YAMUNOTRI – BARKOT
Embark on an early morning drive to Jankichatti, the starting point of your Yamunotri trek. Trek or hire a pony/palanquin to reach the Yamunotri temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and seek blessings. Afterward, return to Barkot and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Barkot.

DAY 03: BARKOT – UTTARKASHI
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed towards Uttarkashi, a town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Enroute, visit the Prakateshwar Cave, known for its spiritual significance. Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the Vishwanath Temple and experience the tranquility of the sacred town. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

DAY 04: UTTARKASHI – GANGOTRI – UTTARKASHI
Embark on a day trip to Gangotri, the second stop of the Char Dham Yatra. Visit the Gangotri temple and take a holy dip in the Bhagirathi River. Explore the surrounding natural beauty and marvel at the breathtaking landscapes. Afterward, return to Uttarkashi and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

DAY 05: UTTARKASHI – GUPTKASHI
Check out from your hotel in Uttarkashi after breakfast and drive towards Guptkashi. Enjoy the scenic beauty along the way. Upon arrival, check into your hotel in Guptkashi. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, relaxing amidst the serene environment. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

DAY 06: GUPTKASHI TO KEDARNATH (VIA SONPRAYAG TREK, HELICOPTER, OR HORSE RIDE)
In the morning, start your journey from Guptkashi to Sonprayag, which is the starting point for the trek to Kedarnath. The distance between Guptkashi and Sonprayag is approximately 40 kilometers and can be covered by road. Alternatively, you can also opt for a helicopter ride from Guptkashi to Kedarnath, which offers a quicker and more convenient way to reach your destination. Another option is to take a horse ride from Sonprayag to Kedarnath.

If you choose the Sonprayag trek, it usually takes around 6-7 hours to cover the distance of approximately 18 kilometers. The trail is well-marked and offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and rivers. Make sure to carry sufficient water and snacks for the trek, and take breaks at the resting points and refreshment stalls along the way.

If you opt for a helicopter ride, you can reach Kedarnath in just a short time, enjoying panoramic views of the Himalayan landscape during the journey. Helicopter services operate from Guptkashi to Kedarnath, and the flying time is usually around 10-15 minutes.

Alternatively, you can choose a horse ride from Sonprayag to Kedarnath. This option allows you to enjoy the journey on horseback while taking in the natural beauty of the region. The duration of the horse ride can vary depending on your pace and the condition of the trail.

Once you reach Kedarnath, check into your accommodation for the night. There are various options available, including guesthouses, camps and dharamshalas (pilgrim rest houses). After settling in, take some time to explore the holy town. Visit the famous Kedarnath Temple, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and holds immense religious significance. Take part in the evening aarti (prayer ceremony) at the temple, which is a spiritual and enchanting experience.

DAY 07: KEDARNATH TO GUPTKASHI
Wake up early in the morning to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the mountains. After breakfast, you have the option to visit the Kedarnath Temple again for a darshan (holy viewing) before starting your descent back to Sonprayag.

If you took the Sonprayag trek or horse ride, retrace your steps back to Sonprayag. The downhill trek usually takes around 4-5 hours. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the surroundings as you make your way back.

If you took the helicopter, board the helicopter for your return journey to Guptkashi. The flight duration is usually around 10-15 minutes, offering you a bird’s-eye view of the magnificent landscape.

Upon reaching Sonprayag or Guptkashi, you can relax and rest after the trek or helicopter ride. Take some time to reflect on your spiritual journey and the serene atmosphere of Kedarnath. You can also try some traditional Garhwali cuisine.

DAY 08: GUPTKASHI – BADRINATH
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive towards Badrinath, the final destination of the Char Dham Yatra. Upon arrival in Badrinath, check into your hotel. In the evening, visit the revered Badrinath temple and immerse yourself in the divine atmosphere. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

DAY 09: BADRINATH – RUDRAPRAYAG / SRINAGAR
Wake up early to witness the stunning sunrise over Neelkanth Peak. After breakfast, visit the Mana Village and drive towards Rudraprayag, a town located at the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag / Srinagar.

DAY 10: RUDRAPRAYAG / SRINAGAR – HARIDWAR
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Haridwar. Enroute, visit Devprayag Sangam, which is the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers, forming the holy River Ganges. Arrive in Haridwar and proceed to the railway station or the airport for your onward journey, carrying with you the blessings and memories of your Char Dham Yatra.
